surrounding a real-life diner in Burlington, NC; produced by The Paramount Acting Company (PAC); premiered June 28, 2001 at The Paramount Theater, Burlington, NC; sold-out run; winner of Times News “Entertainment Event of the Year” for 2001; second production, August, 2002. 2) Sole author/performer: "Rejoice Dear Hearts: An Evening with Brother Dave Gardner"; one-man show, based on the life story and comedy of Dave Gardner, one of the South’s most popular comedians in the 1950’s and 1960’s; produced by PAC; premiered August 13, 2004; optioned by The JENA Company of New York for five-years of national touring; subsequent tour in Spring 2006 and 2007; selected by The Barn Dinner Theatre of Greensboro for their 2007 season 3) Book: "The Fabulous Paramounts: The Oldies and Beach Music Musical"; the story of a Carolina beach music band from its formation in a member’s garage in 1964 through the group’s breakup in 1969; produced by Paramount Acting Company, August, 2007; sold-out run; scheduled for second PAC production in August, 2008. 4) Sole author: "Ruthie"; inspired by the Old Testament Book of Ruth; tells the story of a widowed woman and her widowed daughter-in-law who return to Asheville from Charleston immediately after World War II; winner, Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre’s “Scriptworks 2007”; scheduled for PAC production in February, 2008; scheduled for SART production in July 2008.
