Synopsis
Celtic Tiger Me Arse is a fast-moving, comedy satire.  Themes explored are the returned emigrant, modernity, globalization, materialism, family values, soccer fanaticism, and Ireland's place in the new millennium.

Story
After living for ten years in New York, Joe, with his American wife Maria in tow, decides to return to his native Dublin. There, he discovers a very different country from the one he left behind, with its Pentium IVs and mobile phone madness!

Six actors playing ten characters:

Joe—Aged 30. From Dublin.

Maria—Aged 30. Irish-American. From New York.

Liamo—Aged 30. Dublin Northsider.
Dave—Aged 30. Dublin Southsider. 

Dommo—Aged 30. Dublin Northsider.
Barry—Aged 30. Dublin Southsider.

Hilda—Aged 30. Dublin Northsider.
Mother Inferior—Aged 50. Irish country nun.

Rosie—Aged 30. Dublin Northsider.
Sister Impartial—Aged 40. Irish country nun.

The time is now.

Set
A minimal set suggesting different locations:
A living room, pub, kitchen, and convent.
(most set "changes" achieved with costumes, lights and sound).
