![]() Works-In-Progress I'm currently revisiting an abandoned play called "Vetting Henry," a family drama, set in Oregon during a flood, with a page-one rewrite of Act I and a new attempt at adding a second act. We'll see if I can make it all the way this time.
__________________ NCtN -- is still kicking my ass. Need to restructure and start again. The stuff in the past might become it's own play... __________________ Song of Extinction and Heads are going out the door. Submit, submit, submit... Find yourselves a home, my pretties! __________________ "The Further Adventures of Barnhart and Morton" -- long one-act?, 1M/1F. Morton wants a mentor. Barnhart, a curmudeonly old writer, just wants to be left alone. Will the two of them end up forging a bond over good coffee or kill each other with their number 2 pencils? (Extension of 10-minute play "Lend Me a Mentor"). I want to finish this one so I can see Tom Boyle and America Young do it. It would be nice to have a good, long, two-hander comedy on file. Also, it's fun to make fun of writers... Also, "Lend Me a Mentor" is turning out to be my most produced little play. It's been read or done in three states, plus Canada, South Africa and China! _____________________ I want to finish/edit/polish new one-act Progeny, and new car plays Boom! and O Canada! _____________________ On the producing side, I'm working on putting together events for the War Plays Project. _____________________ Might take a road trip out to the Grand Canyon this summer, if all other summer adventures fall through. I've never seen it. _____________________ |
