About Joy ... Joy McCullough-Carranza is a Seattle-based playwright with a degree in theatre from Northwestern University. Her plays have been developed and produced in Seattle, San Diego, Chicago, and New York, and she is a two-time finalist for the Actors Theatre of Louisville's Heideman Award. She has taught playwriting for ACT Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse and The Old Globe, among others. She met her husband while traveling through Latin America, teaching theatre. They live together in Seattle with their daughter, Cordelia, and their dog, Owen. |
