"My stories reflect events that occurred over five decades during the 20th Century. The plays deal with themes of personal identity relating to feminism, social responsibilities, or the affects of war or racism in communities. The style can best be described as realistic but sometimes presentational using poetic prose. Work includes classic American drama, international folk tale adaptations, and contemporary short plays."



Work includes:

Musical adaptation of Dean Faulkner Wells’ book “The Ghosts of Rowan Oak”, stories recounted from her uncle William Faulkner. Composer and co-lyrist, Robert Felstein. (Workshop presented 2006).

Awarded the Witter Bynner Fellowship for playwright in residency at the Abingdon Theatre Company in New York City and commissioned to write a play, "In the Arms of Baby Jesus". Presented as an Equity Workshop in September 2005.

Christopher Brian Wolk playwriting award finalist for "Weep No More Today" at Abingdon Theatre Company.

National Playwrights Conference for "Angel On My Shoulder", developed at the at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center under the artistic direction of Lloyd Richards.

Other awards and/or finalist in; Nat Horne New Playwrights Festival, Avy Award (4 times), Chesterfield Film Project (3), New Century Writers (2), Julie Harris Playwright Award, Jane Chambers Playwriting Award, Southwest Theatre Association, National New Play Contest, and the Louisville Theatre Center's One Act Play Competition.
