Tricia Walsh-Smith
BACKGROUND
Tricia Walsh-Smith’s father was in the Royal Air Force, so as a child she travelled the world. Every two to three years clothes and toys were packed into wooden crates and sent on to the next “Walsh abode.”
At the age of twelve her father died out in Germany and Tricia’s mother and two brothers returned to the UK.

THE ACTRESS
Tricia studied at the Italia Conti Academy of Dramatic Arts. She appeared in television situation comedies and plays, films, including the cult movie TERROR, theatre, and over five hundred television commercials.

THE WRITER
Tricia’s first play was, BONKERS, which premiered at the Man in the Moon theatre, London, and was very well received. A national tour followed. Her second play, The THONG, was produced at The Rose Theatre, London. Now residing in New York, her play THE LAST JOURNEY will have its World Premier in 2007, and on April the 3rd, at The Promenade Theatre, there was a one night Celebrity Benefit Reading of her trilogy, ADDICTIONS, directed by Peter DuBois, benefiting the Caron Foundation for drugs and alcohol. There will be another reading of ADDICTIONS for the Actors Fund, in LA this fall, directed by Gordon Davidson. Also having its World Premier next year is another new work; CHANGE THE DAY, a play with music and dance.
She also has a television series THE DEVIL’S HOSTAGE in the pipeline.

SOCIAL WORK
Tricia has raised money for many charities over the years. She is now dedicated to helping suffering alcoholics and drug addicts.

HOME AND FAMILY
Tricia lives in Manhattan with her husband Philip.
